These terms apply to both personal data collected through our websites www.valentinivini.com and catalogo.valentinivini.com, as well as personal data collected directly from the company or through other indirect contact methods.
INTRODUCTION
For those visiting our online catalog (catalogo.valentinivini.com), we would like to point out that it is specifically intended for customers (current or potential) who operate in the hospitality industry. Access is RESTRICTED (i.e., with varying degrees of confidentiality for viewing products and, especially, prices) to registered and authorized USERS. By registering, you fully accept the terms and conditions set forth here. Registration does not automatically activate the ability to fully utilize the services offered by our site (particularly viewing products and, even more so, prices). Your registration is equivalent to a request to activate a user (with a username and password of your choice) and must be authorized at our administrator’s discretion, as we do not wish to provide our service to anyone, for example, who does not operate in the hospitality industry, or to potential competitors, or to anyone who, in our opinion, may be primarily or exclusively seeking information without a genuine interest in purchasing. Regarding vintages, we specify that they are updated with care. However, a later or earlier vintage than the one published in the catalog may be available.
You can request a personalized quote by agreeing on the purchase method with us. If you require only the vintage published in the catalog for one or more products, please let us know in the request.

This information is also based on Recommendation No. 2/2001, which the European data protection authorities, gathered in the Working Party established by Article 29 of Directive No. 95/46/EC adopted on 17 May 2001 to identify some minimum requirements for the collection of personal data online and, in particular, the methods, times and nature of the information that the Data Controllers must provide to users when they connect to web pages, regardless of the purposes of the connection.
- Data Collection
The personal data processed is freely provided by you and collected by us when you browse our main website: www.valentinivini.com. From there, you can access an additional subsite: catalogo.valentinivini.com, where you can browse our online catalog dedicated to customers, or potential customers, and industry professionals. With regard to the latter (catalogo.valentinivini.com), personal data is collected during registration in the “Create an Account” section, through which you can subscribe to our free newsletter service, as well as through our email contact form. With regard to our main website (www.valentinivini.com), personal data is collected through the “Contacts” form, in the “International Purchases” section, and in the “News” section, where a “comments” form may be present.
If the user wishes to request a quote or make a commercial transaction with the portal, additional information will be requested in order to process the transaction. Valentini vini-liquori srl uses the email address to send confirmation of the request or transaction and, if necessary, may use the other information to contact the user to obtain certain data necessary to process the request or transaction.

- On the catalogo.valentinivini.com website: when you freely choose to register in the “Create an Account” section, through which you can subscribe to our free newsletter service, we will collect your personal details, your email address, and, if applicable, your telephone number, and we will keep a history of the emails we have sent you. When you intend to request any information by contacting us by email through the “Contact Us” section of the website in order to process your requests. When you select one or more products online by logging in with your credentials, with our prior authorization, in the “Login” section, and send us a quote request using our “Request a Quote” form, we will collect the data necessary to issue the quote and any invoice, such as contact details and billing address.
- On the website www.valentinivini.com: when you request any information by filling out the form in the “Contacts” section of the website (where we collect your name and email address) so we can process your requests. When you wish to receive information using the form in the “International Purchases” section of the website (where we collect your name and email address) so we can contact you to process your requests. Finally, when you wish to leave a comment using the “comments” form in the “News” section, where we collect your name and email address.
c) Payment Method Information:
It’s not currently possible to purchase directly and pay through our website. If you accept our quote, you can pay using the agreed-upon payment method; typically, advance bank transfer.
- When the option to purchase and pay via our website is activated, and you make an online purchase by logging in with your credentials, in addition to your personal and contact details, for the purposes of sending and/or possible invoicing, we will collect information relating to the payment methods you use, such as information relating to bank details.
- Processing methods
Processing will be carried out, including but not limited to, with the aid of computerized and/or automated means, using methods that ensure the security, protection, and confidentiality of the data and to prevent and limit the risk of loss, deterioration, or theft of the data, and to ensure its restoration within a reasonable timeframe in the event of a data breach.

Your personal data will be processed for the following purposes:

- Legal basis for processing
The processing of your personal data will be carried out on the following legal bases:
a) the pursuit of the Data Controller’s legitimate interest;
b) the consent you freely and regularly provide (in the case of marketing through newsletters);
c) as necessary for pre-contractual obligations (such as managing requests for information or fulfilling orders).
More specifically:
The legal basis for purposes a) and f) is Article 6.1 (f) of the GDPR and Article 5.1 (f) of the RSM Act. For purposes b) it is Article 6.1 (a) of the GDPR and Article 5.1 (a) of the RSM Act. For purposes c) and d) it is Article 6.1 (b) of the GDPR and Article 5.1 (b) of the RSM Act.
- Mandatory or optional nature of the processing
Providing your data for the purposes detailed in the previous section 4, “Purpose of processing,” letters c) and d), is mandatory. Therefore, refusal to provide your data will make it impossible to process your request. Providing your data for the purposes set out in letter b) above is optional. You may therefore decide not to provide any data without prejudice to your relationship with our organization.
- Recipients of personal data
The personal data collected will be processed by the Data Controller, the Data Processors appointed by the Controller, and the formally authorized and appropriately trained data processors (pursuant to Article 29 of the GDPR and Article 30 of the RSM law).
Your data may also be processed by consultants of any kind, acting as Data Processors, engaged to perform technical and support tasks on behalf of the company. The updated list of Data Processors is kept at the company headquarters and can be viewed upon request.
Your data will not be disclosed, but may be disclosed to inspection bodies responsible for verifying and monitoring compliance with legal requirements, as well as to other group companies.
- Data transfer to a third country
With regard to any transfer of data to third countries, including countries that may not guarantee the same level of protection as provided by the GDPR and the RSM law, the processing will in any case take place based on one of the conditions defined by the Regulation in compliance with Articles 44 et seq. and Articles 45 et seq. of the RSM law.
- Data retention period
Your personal data will be processed for the time strictly necessary to manage the requested service. That is, they will be retained for the duration of the service or until there is no legally relevant interest in their retention.
If you have chosen to receive commercial communications from us, the data acquired will be used (processed) until you choose to withdraw your consent and, in any case, no later than three years, a period deemed appropriate, given the nature and type of business performed and the goods marketed, starting from the date consent for marketing activities was given or renewed.
- Rights of the interested party
We inform you that, at any time, pursuant to Articles 15-22 of the GDPR and the RSM law, you may exercise the following rights:

2) obtain the rectification of inaccurate personal data without undue delay and the completion of incomplete data, including by means of a supplementary statement (right to rectification pursuant to Art. 16 GDPR and RSM Law);
3) obtain the erasure of your personal data without undue delay if: the data is no longer necessary in relation to the purposes for which it was collected or processed; it was processed unlawfully; it must be erased for compliance with a legal obligation; you have withdrawn your consent or objected to the processing (right to be forgotten pursuant to Art. 17 GDPR and RSM Law);
4) Obtain restriction of processing when one of the following applies: if you contest the accuracy of the personal data, for a period enabling the data controller to verify such accuracy; if the processing is unlawful and you oppose the erasure of the data and request the restriction of its use instead; although the data controller no longer needs the personal data for the purposes of the processing, you require the personal data to establish or exercise a legal claim; if you have objected to processing, pending the verification whether the data controller’s legitimate grounds override yours (right to restriction pursuant to Art. 18 GDPR and RSM Law);
5) to receive the personal data concerning you in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format and to transmit those data to another controller without hindrance from the controller to whom the personal data were provided (right to data portability pursuant to Art. 20 GDPR and RSM Law).
6) to object, in whole or in part, to the processing. If personal data are processed for direct marketing purposes, you have the right to object at any time to that processing, including profiling to the extent that it is related to such direct marketing. If personal data are processed for scientific or historical research purposes or statistical purposes, on grounds relating to your particular situation, you have the right to object to the processing, unless the processing is necessary for the performance of a task carried out for reasons of public interest (right to object pursuant to Art. 21 GDPR and RSM Law);
7) to withdraw the consent given at any time.
8) to lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority.
